The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the firm’s accounts receivable and accounts payable functions efficiently and accurately. Knowledge of ProLaw software is preferred but not required.Responsibilities:– Manage the accounts receivable process, including generating and sending client invoices, recording payments received, and following up on outstanding balances.
– Process client payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in recording transactions.
– Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Handle accounts payable functions, including processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments.
– Manage vendor relationships and address any inquiries or discrepancies.
– Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
– Assist in month-end closing procedures, including preparing account reconciliations and financial reports.
– Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
– Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis, as needed.Qualifications:– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
– Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Knowledge of ProLaw software is preferred but not required (training will be provided).Benefits:– Competitive salary based on experience.
