Description: OverviewThe Marketing & Activities Manager will play a key role in driving on-property marketing efforts, event planning, and guest engagement at our waterpark. This dynamic role requires a creative, hands-on leader who will collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners to enhance brand presence through digital, social, and website marketing. Responsibilities include planning and executing engaging events, managing photo and video shoots, creating in-house marketing collateral, overseeing merchandising, and curating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering unforgettable entertainment and activities.ResponsibilitiesOn-Property Marketing & Content Creation:

  • Develop and manage on-property signage, digital displays, and collateral to enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with brand standards and effectively communicate key messages.
  • Work closely with external agencies to oversee website updates, digital campaigns, and social media strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate professional photo and video shoots to showcase the waterpark’s amenities and activities.
  • Capture high-quality, real-time content during events and peak times for promotional use across multiple channels.

Event Planning & Guest Activities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging events, themed activities, and entertainment for guests of all ages.
  • Develop new, revenue-generating experiences that enhance guest satisfaction and increase participation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and entertainers to curate a diverse calendar of activities.
  • Ensure seamless execution of group activities, team-building events, and special occasions.
  • Maintain communication with Sales, Reservations, and Front Desk teams to ensure smooth event operations.

Administrative & Team Leadership:

  • Maintain an organized marketing calendar to track campaign deadlines, promotions, and activations.
  • Manage budgets, process invoices, and track marketing and event-related expenses.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing recreation and retail team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee payroll, scheduling, and staffing to support activities and retail operations.

Guest Experience & Operations:

  • Lead the development of interactive indoor and outdoor activities that keep guests engaged in all weather conditions.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed for all activities and events.
  • Monitor guest feedback and continuously refine programming to enhance satisfaction and participation.
  • Serve as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, assisting with concierge and guest service responsibilities.

QualificationsEducation & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution.
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Proficiency in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation.
  • Experience working with creative agencies and vendors.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for hospitality marketing.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak event times as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of website content management systems and basic SEO.
  • Familiarity with event coordination and promotion.
