Description: Overview:ABOUT THE JOB:The Digital Marketing Development Manager at Mercury’s in-house marketing division is instrumental in spearheading front-end development and executing technical SEO strategies for our primary website, campaign landing pages, and various marketing projects. Managing a small team of developers, you will oversee the development and implementation of optimized code and components based on branded designs, enhancing user experience, driving web traffic, and boosting lead generation. Geo-Salary Information:State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:$92,154 to $166,210 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)$83,776 to $151,100 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)$75,399 to $135,990 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location. Responsibilities:RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee corporate website development, including UI/navigation/architecture changes, site maintenance, troubleshooting & error resolution, personalization, and tag management.
  • Collaborate continuously with our SEO agency to implement technical SEO efforts and content marketing strategies to improve organic traffic, brand awareness, and lead generation.
  • Utilize our content management system (CMS) to manage website content and architecture, create templates and components that adhere to Mercury’s branding and visual identity, supporting rapid and efficient deployment.
  • Engage with the CMS software company to be informed of ongoing enhancements that present new technology and design opportunities; manage enhancement development queue and deadlines.
  • Translate Figma designs and components into optimized code and graphics.
  • Oversee the implementation of A/B testing recommendations on landing pages.
  • Identify and resolve web accessibility issues to meet WCAG 2.2 standards.
  • Assist with evaluating and implementing new marketing technology software solutions.
  • Interface with the IT department and engineers as needed to address technical issues on products, services, domain allowlisting, or DNS matters related to the website.
  • Effectively manage, mentor and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of two front-end developers.
  • Establish and manage clear workflows using shared dashboards to ensure team members know their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Set up projects in Monday.com, develop schedules, and ensure that communication and pertinent files are stored in an organized manner for easy access. Qualifications:

Education:Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in web or software development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Experience:Minimum:

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development within a medium or large organization
  • 5+ years of Content Management System experience
  • 3+ years of SEO (best practices and technical implementation)
  • 3+ years of translating Figma designs into functional and optimized front-end code
  • 3+ years of leading a team of developers
  • Proven track record of collaborating with Brand/UI/UX designers and marketers

Skills & Abilities:Minimum:

  • Proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, GitHub
  • Content management systems (Crownpeak or HubSpot a plus)
  • Figma (dev mode, working with design systems, exporting code and images)
  • Strong project ownership, technical troubleshooting, and resolution skills
  • Identifying and resolving web accessibility issues (WCAG 2.1)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Monday.com a plus)
  • Practical mindset with a focus on the end-user experience
  • Clear communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for design
  • Management style that aligns well within a tight-knit, fast-moving department
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively within defined timelines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with front-end library frameworks or design tokens is a plus
  • Marketing, design, or UX experience a plus

Preferred:

  • Experience with Crownpeak or HubSpot content management systems
