Department: Human ResourcesPosition Summary:
The Director of Human Resource Operations is responsible for leading and managing key HR functions, including Compensation, Payroll, and HR Information Systems (HRIS). This role ensures that HR operations align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Director oversees service delivery, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement in HR operational areas. This is a full-time position that may require additional hours and availability as needed.Key Responsibilities:Oversee staffing, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management to build a qualified and effective HR operations team.Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders through training, development, and expert consultation.Lead day-to-day operations for Compensation, Payroll, and HRIS, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.Use HR data analytics to support organizational strategy and decision-making.Manage payroll operations, including routine and special payroll runs, while ensuring compliance with current regulations and internal policies.Evaluate and recommend enhancements to HR systems and lead successful implementation and testing of new technologies.Design and administer competitive and equitable compensation programs that reflect market trends and organizational needs.Ensure accurate reporting and analytics across payroll, HRIS, and compensation functions for both internal use and compliance.Collaborate with other HR departments such as Benefits, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, and Health & Safety.Maintain compliance with employment laws and internal procedures, supporting operational efficiency and risk mitigation.Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure departmental goals are met within financial targets.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of recent experience in a senior HR operations or leadership role, preferably in a complex or regulated environmentProven experience with compensation structures, payroll systems, and HRIS platformsStrong understanding of employment laws and compliance standardsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systemsAbility to lead data-driven HR strategies in a large, diverse organizationPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related disciplineCertifications (Required within 6 months if not already held):
One of the following professional certifications:SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCPCertified Compensation Professional (CCP)Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
