Description: Our client, a well-known regional law firm with a national presence is seeking an Associate or Counsel level Attorney – Privacy and Data Security to join their office in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have four to ten + years of experience in all aspects of data security, including but not limited to:

• Breach notification requirements under federal and state laws
• Privacy and breach notification policies
• Data security/Privacy risk assessments
• Strategies for and avoiding a data breach or loss
• Contracts with data security and privacy concerns
• Organizational breach readiness
• Comprehensive privacy management programs
• Crisis management and remediation in response to a data breach
• Internal investigations arising out of a data breach, including interaction with law enforcement and regulators
• Indemnification and insurance claims
• Potential litigation related to data breaches
• Transactional due diligence concerning privacy and data security

The firm would also be open to speaking with Partner level candidates as well.This is a client focused firm with a highly regarded Privacy and Data Services practice and an excellent reputation including numerous Chambers rankings.The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $123,000 – $155,000.
