  • Recommends and aligns priorities for integrated marketing with internal and external stakeholders. Enables the change management necessary to drive the go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Sets direction for business groups, Product Marketing, and Business Planning teams to develop impactful GTM strategy, plans, launch activities, customer segmentation, and/or promotional strategies that drive revenue growth via customer engagement and monetization for products across business areas. Uses deep knowledge of customer segments to identify new areas of investigation and optimize the scope of research to ensure specific business needs are addressed.
  • Sets plans and strategies for marketing campaigns, programs and promotions for a limited range of business areas by collaborating with internal teams (e.g., Product Marketing, Business Operations, Campaign Management, Business Intelligence, Engineering). Uses understanding of business to share insights, align priorities, and document campaign planning and execution decisions through internal collaboration. Sets direction for the development and curation of content and customer journeys designed to engage customers while taking diversity, inclusion, and accessibility into consideration.
  • Identifies opportunities and sets direction for digital channel (e.g., Web, relationship marketing, social media, digital acquisition, search engine optimization [SEO]/search engine marketing [SEM]) strategy, development, and content curation. Owns, measures, delivers, and optimizes key metrics and reporting on marketing activities across channels and platforms. Creates reports and analyses of customer metrics to identify opportunities to improve engagement with customers by collaborating with engine owners. Acts as an internal expert on digital channels and helps to educate the team on principles and practices. Recommends digital channel strategy by leveraging deep knowledge of industry dynamics, identifying potential customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition. Leverages customer targeting, segmentation tools, and various metrics to provide recommendations to continually update and improve customer experiences (e.g., optimize segments, spend, performance, improve digital channels).
  • Manages execution planning and supports end-to-end execution. Assists with the development of a program recommendation, working closely with the operations partners. Identifies solutions that address operational inefficiencies. Develops a brief to support the program, and gathers feedback from stakeholders. Collaborates with Product Marketing to identify the business objectives that can be supported by a program. Guides the development of engaging customer experiences by tracking customer feedback and working with customer support teams.

Measurement

  • Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) for a range of related products, programs, audiences, and/or engines to identify and share insights with the purpose of advancing business impact, through a regular rhythm of business (ROB) of reporting and business review meetings. Defines which KPIs should be used to measure the success of the business and coordinates efforts with leaders to apply them. Identifies potentially impactful trends and recommendations and uses their understanding of the business to present findings to internal stakeholders. Examines performance data and trends (e.g., financial, operational, product) to develop insights and make recommendations for corrective actions and optimization. Defines and manages execution of test-and-learn experiments to improve business outcomes across one or more businesses, products, or channels, often partnering with engineering and analytics teams. Recommends actions based on results and presents those recommendations to executive audiences. Leverages diversity, inclusion, and accessibility metrics to diagnose risk areas, identify opportunities, and track the progress of Microsoft marketing initiatives.

Project Management

  • Develops detailed project management plan to drive delivery for projects of medium complexity or supports colleagues in projects of high complexity, leveraging existing materials and experience to drive scope and resources. Develops and executes communication plans to share progress, blockers, and learnings across stakeholders. Sets milestones and integrated workback schedules to drive progress. Manages finances for projects with mid-size to large scopes and budgets by balancing funding and resources across workstreams, performing analyses, and leveraging cost management experience and expertise. May oversee the reporting of budget and marketing funds to key stakeholders and finance teams. Optimizes energy/growth of project team members to pursue right outcomes, and challenges team members to achieve business results. Manages escalations or ensures resolution of escalations with appropriate stakeholders and overcomes ambiguous situations as needed. Remains abreast of current market trends and internal digital processing development efforts and capabilities. Coordinates with extended network of partners on the influence approach and the transfer of knowledge.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of web content and functionality through rigorous testing and revision processes for all markets.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor web analytics to gauge site performance and make recommendations for improvements based on data insights.

Integrated Marketing IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 – $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 – $219,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
