Your primary job would be to lead projects to conduct research, analysis, and data science in support of our core integrated data solution. You will interact with senior members of government organizations to form solutions that will allow them to use our offerings to defend the supply chains of the USA. You will be a cool head under pressure when you work closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team of data scientists and subject matter experts to tackle vital industrial security challenges.Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary client contact on all phases of analytic projects from problem definition through presentation, appropriately managing client expectations throughout the project.
• Confidently scope, design and lead innovative supply chain risk projects with our customers and successfully represent the work of our team in person around Washington DC.
• Collaborate with the tech and operation teams to lead efforts to build a scalable, data science solution using Azure/AWS and other commercial tools (e.g., DataBricks/Retool)
• Scale these solutions across new datasets to meet new analytic and client requirements and maintain these advances in our codebase
• Act as a senior resource to your colleagues to assist with activities like the selection and execution of ML/AI/NLP solutions to tasks and help the team grow in capability

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in data modeling, classification/clustering, and statistical analysis required.
• Confidence to command the attention of any room, from the office, to the Pentagon
• Strong hands-on programming skills with expertise in multiple implementation languages such as Python and SQL along with experience in delivery technologies
• Familiarity with large-scale, big data platforms including a variety of structured (Postgres, MySQL) and unstructured (Elastic, Kafka, Hadoop, GCS) data storage/retrieval technologies.
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
• Experience in administering software development platforms, e.g., Github, Gitlab
• Experience with Cloud environments
• Experience with agile methodologies
• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics or relevant field experience.
